Bagnaia describes one of the hardest moments of his career

Francesco Bagnaia left Aragon without points for a second consecutive weekend. He finished 11th in the Sprint and crashed on lap six of the Grand Prix while running seventh. He is now eighth in the championship, while team-mate Marc Marquez scored all 37 available points and closed to within 19 of leader Jorge Martin.

The two-time MotoGP champion no longer presents the situation as a simple set-up issue. He says he feels humiliated, sees no immediate way out and is living through one of the lowest moments of his career. On the bike he describes almost no rear grip: after five laps he had already selected a lower-power map to limit degradation. He then lost the rear before the front locked as the bike regained grip.

That account explains the incident sequence but does not by itself establish the root cause of his wider problems. The other Ducatis were faster at Aragon, and Marquez won on the same base machine. Bagnaia nevertheless says he cannot ride the current configuration naturally despite the data and changes tried with his team.

Misano is the next checkpoint. Bagnaia is no longer setting victory as the immediate demand; first he wants to return to the top five. Ducati must give him predictable behaviour over a full run, or the loss of confidence and the search for performance will keep feeding each other.
