Ferrari chooses Monza to launch its upgraded engine

Ferrari plans to introduce an ADUO-authorised power-unit upgrade at Monza, with a revised combustion chamber and turbocharger plus new Shell fuel. A low-drag rear wing and circuit-specific parts are also planned. The aim reported by specialist media is to reduce part of the measured gap to Mercedes, not to guarantee an immediate reversal.

Ferrari has missed the podium in the last two rounds and now trails Mercedes by 87 points in the constructors’ standings. Monza combines peak power, aerodynamic efficiency and electrical-energy deployment, so top speeds and acceleration phases should reveal the real gain quickly.

Kimi Antonelli will start at the back after a complete power-unit change, while George Russell is not expected to take a penalty. That creates a sporting opening for Ferrari at home, but only the track will show whether ADUO brings usable race performance.
