Tsolov covers 690 kilometres in his first F1 test

Nikola Tsolov completed his first Formula 1 running with Racing Bulls at Imola in a previous-car programme. The 19-year-old Bulgarian covered 690 kilometres, enough to assess his adaptation to procedures, physical load and work with an F1 team.

The test comes while he leads Formula 2 by 20 points over Gabriele Mini. Racing Bulls describes the day as a development step and has announced no 2027 promotion.

The mileage nevertheless gives Red Bull more useful data than simulator work alone. What follows depends on Tsolov’s F2 run-in, which resumes at Monza, and any additional testing before the 2027 seats are assigned.
