Bezzecchi denies the Marquez brothers a perfect Aragon Friday

Marco Bezzecchi topped Aragon Practice in 1m45.455s, a new all-time MotorLand record. Alex Marquez finished 0.010s behind and Marc Marquez 0.038s back, making this the closest top three ever recorded on a MotoGP Friday. The result matters even more because Marc had first lowered his own record to 1m45.493s at a circuit where he has already won seven premier-class races.

The session delivered more than one spectacular lap. Marc held the benchmark for much of it, while Bezzecchi built his speed before striking in the closing minutes. Alex then split them. Ducati’s strength at MotorLand is clear, but Aprilia put one of its riders exactly where it needed him: ahead on a track expected to suit the Desmosedici.

Friday awards no championship points, yet it reshapes the balance before qualifying and the Sprint. Bezzecchi trails Jorge Martin by 31 points; Marc, third today, is 40 back. Their tiny timing gaps make grid position and Turn 1 decisive. Saturday must show whether Bezzecchi also has sustained pace, because a Friday record measures peak performance, not race tyre management.
