Bezzecchi explains his crash: full fuel, shaking and a missed line at Turn 13

Marco Bezzecchi’s first-lap crash at Misano was not an isolated error without context. The Aprilia rider says that with a full fuel tank he had to manage the braking more carefully. Movement from the bike through the fast sections then prevented him from closing the line properly into Turn 13, where he lost the front.

That explanation does not make the 25 lost points any less costly, but it clarifies how a retirement pushed him 33 points behind the two championship leaders. Bezzecchi does not want to treat it as a lasting problem and plans to reset in Austria. Aprilia now needs to establish whether the combination of high-speed stability and heavy-fuel braking can recur, or whether Misano was a one-off.
