Ogura still waits for the medical verdict on Misano

Ai Ogura is still waiting for clearance to return at Misano after left-thumb surgery on August 27. A radiological check was scheduled for Tuesday in Barcelona with Dr Xavier Mir’s team to assess the fracture suffered while training in Japan. At our latest check, no public result had yet been released.

Even if that first assessment is positive, the Trackhouse rider must still be declared fit on Thursday by MotoGP medical director Dr Ángel Charte. Trackhouse has entered him provisionally, with Lorenzo Savadori ready to replace him.

Ogura is fifth in the championship on 203 points, 53 behind Jorge Martín. The medical decision must take priority over the standings.
