Marquez can take the championship lead as early as Misano

Marc Marquez arrives at Misano 19 points behind Jorge Martin after taking the maximum 37 points in Aragon. Martin leads on 256, Marquez has 237 and Marco Bezzecchi 232. With 37 points available, both challengers are mathematically close enough to leave Misano on top.

Momentum favours Marquez, winner of four of the last six grands prix, but Martin keeps scoring even when Aprilia lacks grip. Bezzecchi remains close enough to profit from a mistake. The Sprint, Martin’s grip and Bezzecchi’s consistency could change the championship leader before Sunday’s Grand Prix.
