Alpine finally runs both cars in the same specification

Franco Colapinto will receive at Monza the upgrade package Pierre Gasly already used at Zandvoort, putting both Alpines in the same specification for the first time. The team is only three points behind Racing Bulls for fifth in the constructors’ championship.

Colapinto, retained for 2027 alongside Gasly, has 19 points and sits 12th in the drivers’ table. He says the new parts delivered the expected progress but stresses that qualifying execution remains decisive.

Monza will show whether both A526s can reach Q3 regularly and convert pace into points. With a three-point deficit, eighth place would be enough to move Alpine ahead if Racing Bulls fails to score.
