Dall’Igna reminds Ducati what scoreless weekends cost

Márquez has closed to 19 points behind Jorge Martín, but Aprilia retains strength in depth: seven Grand Prix wins shared by its four riders, against six for Ducati through the Márquez brothers and Fabio Di Giannantonio. That count covers Sunday races, not Sprints.

The 2024 precedent explains the warning: Martín became champion with three Sunday wins to Bagnaia’s eleven. More victories do not always outweigh points lost elsewhere. The question now is also what Márquez and his rivals can salvage at less favourable circuits when victory is out of reach.
