Bagnaia can no longer find his reference points on the Ducati

Aragon’s zero extends a struggle Francesco Bagnaia now describes as a dead end. Eleventh in the Sprint and a faller from seventh on Sunday, the Italian leaves a second successive weekend without points after Silverstone. His explanations published on Monday go beyond the crash itself: he can no longer ride his Ducati naturally.

Bagnaia locates the problem at the rear. He says he reduced power through the engine map after five laps because the tyre was already sliding badly. On lap six he lost the rear, then the front when the bike regained grip. That is his account of the incident; it does not by itself establish a validated technical diagnosis of the underlying cause.

The contrast is hard to ignore: every other Ducati rider went straight into Q2 on Friday, while he had to go through Q1. Their performances do not automatically make confidence or riding technique the explanation. The question remains how settings, tyres and feeling interact.

His Sprint victory at Brno before the break showed improvement was possible. At Misano, the priority will be recovering predictable behaviour and a pace he can sustain over several laps before discussing a podium return.
