Hadjar targets Monza, but his return is unconfirmed

Isack Hadjar hopes to return to his Red Bull at the Italian Grand Prix on September 4–6. In a team video, the Frenchman says his wrist is not swollen and is gradually regaining mobility. He missed Zandvoort after an injury during the summer break.

His account describes improvement, not confirmation that he will compete. A Monza return has not been officially announced at this stage. It would therefore be premature to conclude that the replacement programme is over or that he can immediately recover his full capabilities in the car.

Liam Lawson stood in at the Dutch Grand Prix and earned six points for seventh place. That limited the cost of Hadjar’s absence for Red Bull without removing the continuity issue for Hadjar himself. The next decisive development will be confirmation of his participation, rather than another estimate of his recovery.
