Viñales targets Misano as Pol Espargaro keeps the KTM for Aragon

Pol Espargaro will again replace Maverick Viñales at Tech3 in Aragon. After scoring two points at Silverstone, KTM’s test rider brings immediate knowledge of the bike and can continue the team’s work without forcing Viñales into a premature return.

Tech3 says Viñales is continuing his recovery with his medical team, KTM and the squad. Misano remains the stated target, but it is neither a confirmed date nor medical clearance. That distinction matters: the timing depends on Viñales regaining enough strength and mobility to ride without compensation. Aragon is therefore both another substitute race for Espargaro and extra recovery time intended to protect the rest of Viñales’s season.
