Ogura out of Aragon as Savadori takes the Aprilia

Ai Ogura will miss the Aragon Grand Prix after injuring his left hand while training in Japan. Examinations after his return to Europe revealed a fracture near the thumb that requires surgery on Thursday. No official timetable for his return beyond this withdrawal has yet been given.

Trackhouse will place Aprilia test rider Lorenzo Savadori on the bike. That preserves technical continuity during a weekend when set-up work and data will matter, but it removes one of the team’s strongest sporting assets: Ogura took his maiden MotoGP victory at Assen this season. The priority is now restoring a hand that is essential for braking and controlling the motorcycle before setting a comeback date.
