Ocon calls himself a ‘free agent’ as Haas still weighs its 2027 line-up

Esteban Ocon now openly says he is ‘definitely a free agent’ for 2027. Haas has still not confirmed its driver pairing for next season and the Frenchman says he is talking with other teams.

His seat is attracting interest as Haas uses its testing programme with older cars to evaluate several options, including Ferrari junior Rafael Câmara. Ayao Komatsu recently said he had around five potential candidates.

Ocon has not ruled out staying with Haas. For now, the only firm point is that his contract is not secured and he is actively working on other options for 2027.
