Aldeguer has a screw removed to speed up recovery before Japan

Fermín Aldeguer underwent another procedure on his left leg on Wednesday. One of the screws fitted after his femur fracture in January was removed in an effort to accelerate a recovery that is still not fully complete.

The procedure was performed on an outpatient basis and the Gresini rider was able to return home that afternoon. The plan remains to travel to Japan on Monday and compete in the Motegi Grand Prix.

The main hardware will stay in place until the end of the season. Aldeguer plans another operation after Valencia and the December 1 test to remove the remaining material before joining VR46 in 2027.
