Red Bull extends Hadjar for 2027 on the day of his return

Isack Hadjar is not just returning to the RB22 in Baku: Red Bull has confirmed he will remain Max Verstappen’s team-mate in 2027. The team has extended the Frenchman after only eight months in the senior squad.

Before his injury, Hadjar had recorded seven consecutive top-six finishes from Miami to Hungary and scored a podium in Monaco. Red Bull believes it has seen enough progress to lock in its line-up before the current season is even over.

His Baku comeback still carries one physical question mark. Hadjar says his wrist, which suffered a small fracture, remains painful but is now strong enough to handle the steering loads. He did not undergo surgery and his simulator test went well.
