Hadjar returns to Red Bull in Baku after missing three Grands Prix

Red Bull has officially confirmed Isack Hadjar’s return for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. The Frenchman has been absent since the Hungarian GP after injuring his wrist during the summer break, missing Zandvoort, Monza and Madrid. His recovery is now considered sufficient for him to return alongside Max Verstappen from Thursday practice.

His comeback also restores the Red Bull structure to its normal configuration: Liam Lawson returns to Racing Bulls after three races as a substitute, while Yuki Tsunoda goes back to his reserve role. Lawson scored points in two of his three Red Bull appearances, making Hadjar’s return more significant than a simple administrative switch.

Baku will immediately test Hadjar physically. The circuit features heavy braking and little margin between the walls. He is therefore not returning on an easy track and will quickly find out whether his wrist can withstand a full weekend after more than a month without racing.
