Colapinto turns his Q3 appearance into six points for Alpine

Franco Colapinto confirmed on Sunday that his ninth place in qualifying was more than a Saturday result. After a busy opening phase in the midfield, the Argentine stayed in the points fight and finished seventh, behind Liam Lawson but ahead of Oscar Piastri. He brings Alpine six more points.

Pierre Gasly finished 12th and outside the points. The contrast lets the weekend be read without over-crediting technical changes to the A526: Colapinto mainly converted his starting position and a clean race into a tangible result. For Alpine, P7 matters more than a promise of pace because it turns a Q3 appearance into championship points.
