Álex Márquez climbs from ninth to second as Acosta returns to the podium
Two qualifying crashes had left Álex Márquez only ninth on the grid. Twenty-seven laps later, the Gresini rider was the last rival still able to keep Marc Márquez under pressure. After passing Jorge Martín, he closed to around half a second of his brother in the final laps before securing second place.
Pedro Acosta completed the podium for KTM after also passing Martín, on lap 16. Fermín Aldeguer finished fourth, meaning Spanish riders filled the top five with Martín fifth. Beyond the championship swing, the result shows how Álex turned a poor qualifying into second place and how Acosta again put the KTM among the leading Ducatis and Aprilias.
