Misano pushes the front tyre toward its maximum load

Michelin considers Misano probably the circuit that stresses the front tyre most on the MotoGP calendar. Repeated heavy braking, long time spent on lean and the lack of long straights for cooling all raise the load despite moderate top speeds.

Teams also know the track extremely well, making small differences in pressure, temperature and carcass behaviour especially visible.

Rain is possible in the forecast, particularly on Friday and Saturday, with lower temperatures also possible. That could disturb the huge body of reference data accumulated here.

For the title contenders, the challenge is to find enough front support without hurting the bike’s ability to turn. Changing weather would make a missed path to Q2 even more costly and could help Honda, KTM or Yamaha reduce Ducati and Aprilia’s usual dry-weather advantage.
