Di Giannantonio believes VR46 has isolated the cause of his drop
Fabio Di Giannantonio says VR46 now understands much better what has slowed him over recent weekends, although the team is not revealing the exact technical cause.
His average has fallen from 19.3 points over the first six rounds to 13.1 over the next seven. Aragón captured that decline: poor rear feeling, a Sprint crash and then seventh place on Sunday.
Di Giannantonio is still fourth in the championship with 208 points, 48 behind Martín. His recent slide therefore does not erase a strong opening half of the season, but it is starting to matter as the top three bunch up.
Misano becomes a genuine diagnostic test. If the settings identified by VR46 restore his consistency, the team will have shown the issue is fixable. If not, the drop in pace will need to be reassessed as Di Giannantonio also prepares for his move to KTM in 2027.
