Cadillac hires three senior technical figures, including Red Bull’s former chief designer

Cadillac is accelerating its technical restructuring with three significant hires. Craig Skinner, Red Bull’s former chief designer and a contributor to the title-winning RB19, becomes Chief Development Engineer. Former Aston Martin deputy Eric Blandin takes charge of aerodynamics, while Tim Lean joins to lead aerodynamic modelling and simulation.

The appointments follow the management changes already made during the summer with Marcin Budkowski. After a first season marked by production and execution problems, Cadillac is clearly strengthening the structure it believes can deliver genuine progress in 2027.

The three may not join the project immediately because of gardening-leave periods. The key point is therefore less about a gain in Baku and more about a step up in the calibre of Cadillac’s technical organisation for its second season.
