Hadjar also misses Madrid, Lawson stays at Red Bull

Isack Hadjar will miss the Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid. Red Bull says his wrist injury is improving, but not enough for him to return to the car. The Frenchman will still attend the weekend with the team, and no precise comeback date has been announced.

Liam Lawson therefore remains alongside Max Verstappen for a third consecutive race after Zandvoort and Monza. He finished seventh in the Netherlands and 14th in Italy, where power-unit penalties, a pit-lane start and contact with Nico Hülkenberg complicated his race.

Yuki Tsunoda keeps the Racing Bulls seat alongside Arvid Lindblad.

The extension at least gives both teams continuity before a completely new circuit. Lawson now brings two extra weekends of RB22 experience, while Tsunoda gets another chance to turn his Monza point into something more durable.

Hadjar remains eighth in the championship with 71 points. The next medical update will determine whether this driver reshuffle ends after Madrid or continues beyond it.
