Qatar keeps preparing its MotoGP round despite regional uncertainty

The Qatar Grand Prix remains officially scheduled for 6–8 November at Lusail. The national federation says preparations are continuing normally despite regional instability and questions surrounding several international events in the Middle East. MotoGP’s official calendar still lists the round.

The president of the Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation says the organisation must continue preparing while acknowledging that the situation could still change. MotoGP is working with local authorities to keep the race on the calendar after it was moved from spring to November. No definitive cancellation has been announced.

The uncertainty has a direct sporting consequence. With only 19 points between Martín and Márquez and 24 covering the championship top three, removing one round would reduce the remaining title total by 37 points. A decision on Lusail could therefore matter far beyond end-of-season logistics.
