Honda officially confirms Red Bull's return for its new MotoGP project

What was still paddock reporting in our previous edition is now official: Honda has signed a new agreement with Red Bull from 2027. The Austrian brand returns as a partner of the factory HRC team four years after their previous collaboration ended.
The change coincides with the arrival of 850cc bikes and appears more significant than the previous deal. Honda’s wording points toward a more visible Red Bull presence on the motorcycles. HRC president Koji Watanabe presents the agreement as a strategic partnership for the new technical era.
The consequence for Fabio Quartararo is also becoming clearer. Motorsport.com reports that team contracts take precedence over riders’ personal deals, meaning the Frenchman will have to leave Monster when he joins Honda. Honda would cover the compensation required to end that agreement. The key difference from yesterday is important: the Honda–Red Bull partnership is now confirmed by Honda, while the financial details around Quartararo remain Motorsport.com reporting.
